My Double yellow headed Amazon chews his leather into pieces too short to tie so I can replace the leather with strips long enough to tie. Eventually I need more but can replace them.
1/4 inch leather is good for my Amazon as it lasts with his strong beak to repair his toys. Pear shaped quick links are terrific for all toys.
These are good quality leather strips that I attach to my parrots' toys. I tie some of them in knots which occupies them with chewing and attempting to undo the knots.
VERY smelly. I'm hesitant to use for bird toys.
